Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Tamim Iqbal is suddenly visiting India. BCB Grounds Committee and High Performance (HP) Department Chairman Shahnian Tanim will accompany him on this visit. The main objective of the tour is to modernize the Board of Cricket in India (BCCI). Center of Excellence visit and take forward plans to develop world-class cricket infrastructure in Bangladesh.
It is known that Tamim Iqbal and his companions will visit BCCI's Center of Excellence located in Bengaluru. There, they will get a first-hand understanding of the modern training system, high-quality gymnasium, sports science, biomechanics, rehabilitation facilities and various programs for developing the skills of cricketers.
According to BCB's plan, a world-class cricket excellence center will be built in Purbachal of Dhaka. As part of the implementation of that project, the visit was organized to closely observe India's modern infrastructure and management system.
Earlier, BCB's board meeting held on Wednesday approved the proposal to build a Center of Excellence in the Purbachal Stadium area. At the same time, BCB President Tamim Iqbal also gave instructions to start the work of the project quickly.
Another important issue may come up for discussion in Tamim's visit to India. It is believed that the preliminary discussions with the BCCI officials about the tour of the Indian national cricket team to Bangladesh and the possible bilateral series in September will be held. However, no schedule or details of the meeting have been officially announced in this regard yet.
Tamim Iqbal's visit is seen as an important step towards the development of Bangladesh Cricket's infrastructure and international standard training facilities.
