Shanto does not want to make any excuses even though several important players are missing from the team due to injuries. He said, injury is something that is beyond anyone's control. Any player can get injured at any time. So he has full confidence in those who are in the team.
Shanto said, "I believe we can play good cricket with this team. It is more important to believe in the current team than discussing who would have been better or who would have made the team stronger."
He also said that he has faith in every cricketer in the team and everyone is ready to give their best.
When asked about the different conditions in Australia, Shanto said, it is difficult to get an idea of the wicket or the weather there from a distance. The main goal of the team will be to adapt to the conditions quickly after reaching the field.
He said that there are experienced cricketers in the batting department in the Bangladesh Test team. Besides, the bowling unit is also in good rhythm. He thinks that it is possible to get good results if he adapts to the conditions quickly.
The two-match Test series between Bangladesh and Australia will begin on August 13. The first Test will be held in Darwin. Then the second and final match of the series will be played in Mackay on August 22.
This series is part of the ICC World Test Championship. At the same time, this is Bangladesh's first Test series on Australian soil since 2003.
