According to the plan of the government, the target of implementation of the new salary structure from July 1 has been set, but the gazette in this regard may be published in the middle of July. Currently, the final recommendation is awaiting approval from the Prime Minister.

According to sources in the Ministry of Finance, the committee led by Cabinet Secretary Nasimul Gani will submit the roadmap for evaluation and implementation of Pay Commission's recommendations to the Ministry of Finance this week. The recommendation was finalized after reviewing the reports of three separate Pay Commissions constituted for Civil Administration, Judiciary and Armed Forces.

Officials concerned said that if the Prime Minister approves, the Finance Ministry may publish the ninth pay scale gazette in the middle of July or the next week. After that, the formal process of implementing the new pay structure will begin step by step.

Initially, the government considered two types of plans to implement the new pay-scale. One was the three-year plan, which proposed implementing 50 percent of basic pay in a phased manner in the first two fiscal years and various allowances in the third year.

However, the Finance Department said that if the government implements the basic salary in two phases Integrated Budgeting and Accounting System (IBAS++)There may be technical complications. For this reason it is recommended to implement full basic pay at once. Although overall, the concerned committee is moving towards the implementation of the entire pay scale in two phases.

According to the responsible officials of the Ministry of Finance, among the current 20 grades 100 percent or near salary increase for officers in grades 1 to 10 is recommended.
