The 'New Bud Sports 2026-27' program is going to start with secondary level students of the country. Sports competitions will be held in 10 events under this program at the upazila level from next September. The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (MAUSHI) has directed all the secondary educational institutions of the country to provide comprehensive cooperation and comprehensive campaign to ensure the participation of children and adolescents aged 12 to 14 years in the program.
Maushi has taken this initiative in view of the directive of the Ministry of Youth and Sports on June 29. In the order addressed to the heads of all secondary educational institutions under the jurisdiction of the department, necessary steps have been taken for the successful implementation of the program.
According to the order, online or on-spot registration has been provided for children and adolescents aged 12 to 14 years to participate in the new budding sports. The registration process which started from July 1 will continue till August 31. After that, the upazila level competition is scheduled to start from next September.
Educational institutions have been asked to encourage their 12- to 14-year-old students to participate in the registration. In addition to informing the students and teachers during teaching in the classroom, necessary instructions should also be posted on the notice board of the school.
Apart from this, it has been directed to display approved 'drop down banners' at visible and visible places of educational institutions. In order to promote the program widely, the school has also been asked to promote new budding sports through its own website and social media.
Those concerned believe that through this initiative of Maushi, the secondary level students of the country will get an opportunity to develop their talent as well as increase their participation in the field of sports. Through this competition which started from the upazila level, an opportunity will also be created to bring out the sports talent of talented children and teenagers.
