Alif's left eye light will never return: Dr. Mahmuda Mitu

Nabiganj upazila organizer Alif Chowdhury, who was seriously injured in the attack on the 'July Padayatra' program of the National Citizen Party (NCP) in Habiganj, said that the sight of his left eye will not return. In the post, he also alleged that Alif was seriously injured by a rod during the attack. However, no statement from the accused party was immediately available regarding this allegation.

Earlier it was reported by the NCP that one of Alif Chowdhury's eyes was severely damaged in the attack and there is a danger of losing his sight. He was later admitted to the National Institute of Ophthalmology and Hospital (NIOH) at Agargaon in the capital for advanced treatment.

He underwent eye surgery there on Thursday. However, even after the surgery, the doctors were not able to restore the sight of the injured left eye. Mahmuda Mitu said.

It is to be noted that Alif Chowdhury, Nabiganj upazila organizer of Jatiya Chhatra Shakti was seriously injured in the clash and attack centered on NCP's 'July Padayatra' program in Habiganj last Tuesday. Since then he was undergoing treatment in the capital.

However, there has been no official statement from the concerned authorities regarding who is involved in the attack and the investigation or legal progress in this regard.
