Amir of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami said that even if various pressures, intimidation, compromise proposals and temptations are given, do not bow down to injustice. Shafiqur Rahman. At the same time, he said that he would stand firm in the demand for justice for the killings of the people killed in the July uprising and ensuring the fair rights of the injured.

The Jamaat Amir said these things at the meeting with the families of martyrs and injured fighters of the July uprising organized by Jamaat-e-Islami at the IDB Council Hall in the capital on Thursday afternoon.

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said that not only their party leaders and activists, but also the family members of those killed and injured in the July uprising are being threatened in various ways. Even if pressure is created, they will not compromise with injustice.

He said that even in the past, party leaders have taken a stand against injustice in difficult situations. Even in the current situation, they will not move from that position.

Mentioning that the people of the country were expecting a big change, Jamaat Amir said, there is a fear whether the country is going back to the old dark situation without changing according to that expectation.

Referring to the creation of an atmosphere of torture in educational institutions in the past, he said, there is a danger of creating a similar situation again.

However, Jamaat-e-Islami will not go in such a way, he said.

Dr. also said that the promises made after the July uprising will be implemented if given the opportunity. Shafiqur Rahman.

He said that even if they are not in the government at present, they will speak for the people in the parliament and the families of the martyrs in the July uprising.

He claimed that at various times they have been offered compromise and various inducements. But they rejected them. He also commented that he will not betray the people in any way.

Jamaat Amir also spoke about the referendum. He said, they are hopeful that the opinion of the people will be properly reflected.

In his speech, the issue of giving importance to people's opinion and political rights came up.

Dr. regarding the trial of the murder of the victims of the July uprising. Shafiqur Rahman said, they do not want revenge; They want justice.

He commented that not only those killed in the July movement, but the common people of the country who lost their lives at different times, should also be tried for their murder.

Jamaat Amir also said that no matter how long it takes to get justice, they will not move away from the demand for justice.

Calling on the government Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, if there is a mistake somewhere, it should be corrected and people's trust should be restored. He also urged everyone to work unitedly for the sake of the country.

Referring to the youth who took part in the July movement, he said that they took to the streets not with arms, but with courage and faith. So they cannot be suppressed by assault, intimidation or pressure.

He further said that they will continue to speak for the rights and justice of the people of the country and their voices cannot be silenced by applying any kind of pressure.

Family members of those killed in the July uprising, wounded fighters and central leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami were present at the meeting.
