"Marhuma Begum Khaleda Zia Smriti Gold Cup Football Tournament-2026" has started with a grand arrangement at Setabganj Baramath, Dinajpur, with the motto "Khela hal pesha, familia pabe bharasa". The official grand opening of the tournament was held on Sunday (August 2).
The opening ceremony was organized under the general supervision of Alhaj Sadiq Riaz Chowdhury Pinak, Member of National Parliament of Dinajpur-2 (Biral-Bochaganj) Constituency. He announced the auspicious opening of the tournament by himself as the chief guest.
Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate of Dinajpur were present as special guests in the opening ceremony. Rafiqul Islam, Police Superintendent of Dinajpur. Zedan Al Musa PPM and Dinajpur District Council Administrator and District BNP President Advocate Md. Mofazzal Hossain Dalal. In addition, Bochaganj upazila executive officer.
